Poetry Editing

Whether you're polishing poems for submission or simply seeking to express your thoughts and feelings within an artful container, send me your poems, and I will provide you with honest and thoughtful feedback.

The Process

What I focus on

Editing poetry means more than catching typos. It’s about listening to what the poem is trying to say and helping it say it more clearly and truthfully. In my feedback, I typically address:

  • Intention

  • Word choice and concision

  • Clarity of imagery and language

  • Consistency of metaphor

  • Transitions and logic

  • Line breaks and rhythm

  • Attention to clichés, generalisations, and absolute statements

How it works

   1. Make the payment

I have UK, UAE, and Spanish bank accounts, as well as PayPal and Wise. Email me, and I'll share the details.

   2. Submit your work

Email me an editable Word document—max 10 pages of poetry.

   3. Receive tracked edits & comments

I’ll return your document with feedback using tracked changes and margin comments within 6 days.

   4. Optional call

If you’d like to discuss any of the feedback in more depth, we can arrange a short call via Google Meet at no extra cost. Calls are made online during working hours that correspond to Central European Time.

Pricing

My summer offer is:

  • €90 for a new batch of up to 10 pages of poems.

  • If you'd like a second round of editing on the same poems, the cost is €45.

  • If you'd like a third round of editing on the same poems, the cost is €25.
