Summary:

This e-book is designed to help you uncover your strengths, values, aspirations, and limitations and curate a life that caters to you as a whole by using a robust framework, complete with inspirational quotes as well as questions and exercises.

Benefits of Self-Discovery:

Knowing yourself better by taking stock of your feelings, thoughts, and actions allows you to communicate your needs and struggles with greater clarity; recognise your biases and take responsibility for your patterns, shortcomings, and sensitivities; discover your talents and make use of your gifts; invest in relationships and endeavours that consider your limitations, values, and strengths; empathise more deeply with other beings beyond the veneer of ego and identity; and participate in the curation of your life with intention rather than passivity.

Support and Private Sessions:

If you'd like help with articulating your discoveries in words, you can contact the author of the Self-Discovery E-Book, Maryam Imogen Ghouth, at maryam@maryamghouth.com to book private sessions with her. In nine sessions, you and Maryam will cover the 26 chapters of the e-book and end your exploration with an eloquent letter that captures all the insights you've gained over the course of your self-discovery journey, from the values you wish to embody to the passions that stir your soul to the sensitivities that call for your attention and the shadowy intentions and drives that seek your ownership.

The Writer Who Developed This Self-Discovery E-Book:

Maryam Imogen Ghouth is an artist who publishes poetry in visual, audio, and written forms. After earning a BA with Honours in Communications, Authoring, and Design in 2013, Maryam worked in a range of communication disciplines, primarily copywriting, before fully embracing her creative pursuits. In 2019, she embarked on her artistic journey by making poetry films that explored psychological themes such as existential crises and belonging. In 2020, her series, Journey of Becoming, was chosen for screening at Dubai’s art-house cinema, Akil, in celebration of female artists. Since then, she has directed nineteen poetry films and co-directed six, many of which have been produced in both English and Arabic. In late 2023, Maryam began submitting her works to international film festivals, such as Resonans, Cadence, and Nature and Culture Poetry Film Festival, receiving several nominations and awards for her films Bubble Hat and Not Alone. Her poetry recordings have been used as overlays in award-winning short films, such as Under the Sun by Alla Dulh; as spoken word and lyrics for music composers and producers, such as the pianist Arash Behzadi; and as guided meditations for practitioners such as the doula Ruqaya Ahmed. Her poems have appeared in several international literary journals, including Last Leaves, Sky Island Journal, inScribe, and many more. Bridging creative expression and self-awareness, Maryam wrote the Self-Discovery E-Book, which she uses as a framework in her private sessions, along with writing as a tool to help people uncover their truths and articulate their findings in words. Though she is certified as a Co-Active Coach by the International Coaching Federation and holds a practitioner's license in NLP from Richard Bandler, Maryam leans on her background not to coach but to invite honest introspection, asking probing questions that reflect 'what is' rather than 'what should be'.
